This is the first time I have applied a Wordpress update only for it to go wrong. Wordpress is a great bit of kit and the issues that I experienced are more of a pain in the backside for visitors who were looking to read my latest post after it was posted on Twitter and Facebook.

So apologies for anyone that has had troubles on the site in the last few hours. I have had to revert the Blog to version 2.7.1 until such a time when Wordpress offer a version of the blog software that is stable.

The thing is with Wordpress is that it is free of charge and you can’t really moan too much when it has the odd problem, so I welcome back 2.7.1 with affection like an old pair of favourite shoes you knew you should never of got rid of.
