I felt compelled to write a post about the really poor experience I received with TV Wall Bracket supplier Bracketsrus in the run-up to Christmas last year; you can read all about that on my previous Bracketsrus post. Now let the second episode commence:

Phone call from Bracketsrus

Today (10/11/2011) I received a call from an Adrian of Bracketsrus at work. Adrian introduced himself and quickly cut to the chase. In short he asked me to take my original post down about the company. I explained to Adrian that after receiveing one of the poorest customer experiences ever with this LCD/LED/Plasma TV Wall bracket supplier that I felt no reason to change my stance, this even after nearly 12 months since the original incident.

Your complaint against Bracketsrus is a year old

Adrian reasoned with me that a lot had changed with the set-up of the company and that things had changed for the better. In all fairness I was still unimpressed. The only reason that Adrian was on the phone to me is due to the fact my legitimate grumble which I wanted to share with the wider community ranks well in Google for their brand name. In fact so well it directly follows their main listings in Google as you can see:

TV wall bracket supplier Bracketsrus results in Google

My response to Bracketsrus request

The funny thing with the phone call is I tried despeartely to talk to someone at Bracketsrus last year when my grievance was at its height, here are some simple facts:

Could I get through to anyone? No

Were the call centre staff bothered? No

Did Bracketsrus care about my genuine complaint at the time? No

So now after 11 months why does Adrian (or anyone from Bracketsrus) feel he has the right to call me up and ask me to take the post down?

Adrian of Bracketsrus hung-up on me!

In some ways I was really glad Adrian called me. It had been nearly a year since my grievance, and I had not forgotten the dismal experience. Here’s the problem, even after all this time I was still not offered an apology.

I explained to Adrian I had (and have) no intention of taking the first post down. I also said that if they wanted me to take it down they would have to go through a legal channel (as it is all factual and from real life experience there is no chance of that happening); it was at that stage Adrian hung up on me!

Adrian, I know you will read this, so I would like to thank you for taking the opportunity of proving to me the pitifully low values of the company you represent have not altered in 11 months. In fact all you have done now is flamed the situation!

To hang the phone up on a customer no matter what the situation is nothing short of pathetic!

My message to Bracketsrus is as follows:

In my opinion Bracketsrus demonstrated to me clearly they have no regard for their customers. If you really did value my custom you would of dealt with my complaint at the time. Too little too late I am afraid; the post will stay up, you screwed up!

If you don’t like it, then may I suggest you bring in a consultant who can assist you with dealing with delivering a satisfactory service to members of the public who you take money from and whom you offer an extremely poor service.

May I also suggest you have a very good look at Amazon.co.uk; now there is an etailer that knows how to look after its customers!

Don’t believe me?

Bracketsrus – Do Not Buy From This TV Bracket Website – I will repeat Bracketsrus – Do Not Buy From This TV Bracket Website

I have had the misfortune of dealing with this poor excuse for an Internet only company and have not had a worse experience since I got stung by a fraudster on the old auction site QXL many years ago. (I will say the person who ripped me off on QXL was caught and given a 12 month prison sentence), I hate being ripped off, and I will do all I can to ensure others do not have to suffer the misery of losing money.

Bracketsrus – poor customer service, poor delivery
I do not recommend this TV Bracket website

Here are 5 reasons why you should not buy from Bracketsrus

Goods do not turn up! ‘Next Day’ is advertised on the site, more like ‘Next Millennium Delivery’

There is no customer services number

Main phone number is a call centre – they will not put you through to the company themselves

Stock emails are sent in response to all emails, there is no comeback

There are many negative reviews on the Internet, all saying how poor this site is

What can you do about Bracketsrus?

If you have been burnt by Bracketsrus, there are several things you can do to take control, these are:

Contact the Police

Contact Trading Standards

Tell others about your poor experiences on review sites (see list below)

File a complaint with Google. The spam team at Google will assess genuine complaints and act if there is compelling evidence against the site in question

Use your own social networks, Twitter, Facebook etc to inform others of your poor experience

If you have paid by Credit Card, contact your card issuer – they should refund if you present the facts

Review Sites where you can leave reviews about Bracketsrus

Bizrate offers people the ability to rate sites they have used/purchased product from. But who rates the ratings sites?

For example whilst researching the best place to buy a new LCD TV, I went on to the BizRate site via Google Shopping. The shop that had the best price for the Panasonic 42 inch HD Ready Plasma TV that I was looking for had excellent third party reviews featured on the BizRate site. Why do I use review sites, well, there is no point buying products such as cheap LCD TVs if the buggering thing is never going to turn-up!

So, how did BizRate let themselves down you ask? Simple, the links on their reviews page back to the store, did/do not work! What is the point of that? So for a review site that is looking to promote quality, one feels they need to take a good long hard look at themselves, because to have broken links is a real schoolboy error, and for that Bizrate, you get nothing more than a poor rating!

According to a blog post I have just read at Brafton.com, 56% of us are clicking real-time search results when available in a search engine. You have to ask are there really that many people interacting with this element of the page? I guess it makes sense on some news stories, but I still cannot envisage the day I use feeds from Twitter or Facebook to source a product. For m Social Media real time search is like a Grandad at a child’s party, there’s simply too much noise, and I’d rather be back at home with my pipe and slippers, in this case Google.

To be fair I can imagine many of the users do not even realise they are clicking on real-time search results. In fact what was the demographic of the study group? Were they tech savvy? Were/Are they big Social Media users? I study people who do not use the web that often, not only is it painful to watch, it is also apparent that many non-web types have no idea what they are clicking on. The logic is simple, if Google and the like thrust a dirty great big ‘social media’ real-time search result box slap-bang into a page, it is bound to get used. As for 56%, I’ll think I’ll perform my own study and see what I get.
